Smart Buildings – Interfacing People, Technology, and the Built Environment

As buildings become more connected, complex, and dynamic, there is a growing need for intelligent building technologies that provide data-driven insights to maximize operational efficiency, cut energy waste, and lower overall costs. Furthermore, today’s smart buildings are not only expected to interact with objects, but also improve occupant comfort and experience by interacting with people. How can organizations – whether they’re large multi-national entities or small to medium-sized businesses – best integrate IoT to deliver significant transformation over time?

This presentation explores how smart buildings leverage the Internet of Things (IoT) to create new opportunities for information gathering and sharing, and the impact it has on buildings management, operations, and occupant experience. The presentation will also showcase a case study of what that ideal building in today’s world can look like.
