The Value of Data Modeling and Tagging for Smart Buildings

Why data modeling and tagging are essential for the future of smart buildings - an overview of what tagging involves and why it is so important, the Project Haystack tagging open-source standard, the Haystack and Brick data modeling options, and the implications for the specification and design of automation systems and smart buildings

Takeaway: Why tagging is important, how to specify it in new smart building projects, how to add tagging to existing sites to facilitate better analytics and data management. What Project Haystack is about, the differences between Brick and Haystack for data modeling and how tagging can enable intelligent alarm management and the automation of automation systems' configuration & commissioning.
